Terms

DeputyWise supports the practical work of keeping records and preparing your annual report. This page explains our role and yours as a deputy. It is not an agreement and does not ask you to accept terms.

The service and who it is for

DeputyWise is a DeputyCo product operated by Flux2Fusion Software Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 04316527. Its registered office is 36 New Yatt Road, Witney, England, OX28 1NZ.

DeputyWise supports lay Property and Financial Affairs deputies appointed by the Court of Protection in England and Wales. It brings record-keeping, reminders and annual-report preparation together. Our role is to provide the application and help you use it; yours is to make deputyship decisions, check your records and submit your report to the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG). Where legal, financial or tax expertise is needed, seek independent professional advice from an appropriately qualified adviser.

Your records and responsibilities

DeputyWise brings entries and supporting documents together to help you review them. You remain responsible for the records you enter and the information you submit. Compare entries and totals with bank statements, receipts and other source documents, then review your report information before submission.

Your Court of Protection order defines your powers, and decisions must be within that authority and in the best interests of the person you support. DeputyWise supports your record-keeping within this role. Contact the OPG for guidance about your duties, and seek independent professional advice if you need help interpreting your order or assessing a legal, financial or tax decision.

Keep original documents and independent copies of important records. Protect your sign-in details and keep passwords separate from records and attachments. Include information relevant to your deputyship.

When access ends

Keep independent copies of the records you need for your continuing duties. See the service terms and privacy notice for information about export, retention, deletion and arrangements for ending access. Closing an account does not automatically erase every record.

Before you start using DeputyWise

You can read the service terms and application privacy notice before deciding whether to use DeputyWise. The terms will explain service commitments, any charges, changes to the service, suspension and closure, data processing arrangements, liability and applicable consumer rights. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
